A Note from Julia | March 25, 2026

Reflections and Updates from the Publisher

By Julia Capallo, Publisher | Macaroni KID Bel Air, MD March 25, 2026

It’s been a little while since my last publisher’s note, and now we’re already approaching the end of March! On Saturday, I planned my first community event since moving to Harford County (coming up on a year at the end of April!) and as the publisher for Macaroni KID Bel Air.

With over 220 attendees and nearly 50 local businesses/organizations represented, it was a successful event that brought the community out to welcome the spring season, connect, and highlight those who support the wellbeing of families. Although it took place indoors (with the exception of food trucks), the weather really cooperated as well! I’d like to give another thank you to Harford Day School for hosting us, to our sponsors, Laura Oliver Photography  + Wellness & Co., to the vendors, and everyone who shared the information and/or attended. The Aegis/Baltimore Sun covered our event and shared some photos online, and my hope is that this event brought visibility to the participating businesses and organizations who seek to make a greater impact in Harford County.

Now that it’s over, I’m eager to plan something else soon! As the weather warms up, I’m excited to get outside and collaborate with others who serve families in our area. Stay tuned! For updates, subscribe to the weekly e-newsletter and follow along on Facebook & Instagram
